Bath Bombs – Good? Bad? Ugly?

What better way to end a long, gruesome day than with a book, a glass of wine, and a scented, fizzy, colorful bath full of carcinogens, hormone disruptors, and fragrance? Wait, what??? Yes, these are just a few of the toxic ingredients hidden in these pretty, sprakly bath bombs.

As relaxing and therapeutic as bath bombs may seem, they are far from it. Most contain chemicals such as fragrance, phthalates, benzine derivatives, aldehydes, artificial dyes, talc, parabens, glitter…and that’s just the short list. You may ask yourself, so what’s the big deal? Do yourself a favor and Google these chemicals. They are not safe. They are very bad for our bodies…even in low quantities.

So what’s a gal to do to unwind? Fear not! You can simply (and cheaply) make your own bath salts. Not only will they be safe, but they will be therapeutic. They will actually support your body systems and bring you an even deeper level of relaxation and stress-release. Check out our Relaxing Bath Salts Recipe and feel free to get creative and make your own “flavors”!

Not a DIY girl…no worries! Young Living Bath Bombs are a wonderful pre-made option in two amazing scents: Lavender and Stress Away! And they are toxin-free.

So what’s your choice? A soak in toxic soup or in a relaxing, therapeutic bath?
